We Rebuilt. Here's Why.

If you've been to renewalroom.biz before, you'll notice things look a little different. A lot different, actually.
The old site did its job — it existed, it had the basic information, it got people to the booking link. But every time I looked at it I felt this low-grade cringe that I couldn't shake. It didn't feel like us. It felt like a therapist website made by a committee of people who had never actually been to therapy and thought it should be Very Serious and Very Beige.
So I rebuilt it.
What Actually Changed
The whole thing got redesigned from scratch — new platform, new layout, new copy, new everything. Here's what's actually different:
The look. Warm browns, sage greens, taupe, cream. Cottagecore but make it clinical. Botanical backgrounds, real photos, DIN Condensed headings that have actual personality. It should feel like walking into a space that takes your mental health seriously and acknowledges that you're a whole person who appreciates good design.
The copy. We don't talk like a brochure anymore. If you've ever read something on a therapy website and thought "no human has ever actually said these words out loud" — that's what we were trying to fix. The new site sounds like me. Sarcasm included.
The pages. Everything got its own real section. Services actually explains the services. The FAQ answers the questions people actually have (including "what's the deal with Ariel being supervised" — you're welcome). The Policies page links to an actual organized document instead of a PDF floating in the void.
The Toolbox. New page. Houses the coloring books I published on Amazon — Spiraling But Make It Therapeutic and Pocket Peace — plus more resources coming as I make them. Worksheets, downloads, things that actually help.
The Renewal Collection. Merch for people who are trying their best and want everyone to know it. It's still there, it just looks significantly better now.
Why It Matters
Here's the thing about a therapy practice website — it's often the first impression someone gets of whether this is a place that will actually get them. A site that looks like it was built in 2014 and never touched again sends a message. A site that feels warm, human, a little funny, and genuinely informative sends a different one.
I want people who are scared to reach out to land on this site and think oh, okay, these people might actually be different.
Because we are. That's kind of the whole point.
